Heaven. a1d63c969ff96d48cffbf9105a506a45
There are many beliefs about heaven, and even more opinions. Some have viewed Heaven to be a city in the clouds. Others have formed the opinion that Heaven is for everyone. I have heard children speak of Heaven as the place to get an endless supply of “goody-gum drops” and ice cream. One thing is most certainly true – Heaven will be wonderful! My prayer is for assumptions of Heaven to cease, and interpretations of what, where, when, and how of Heaven will stop. Scripture says that God is not the author of confusion. (1 Corinthians 14:33) So on a subject as important as:  what is Heaven, who can go to Heaven, and how to get to Heaven – God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) In other words, the opinion that all will go to Heaven is a nice thought, but the reality is not everyone is willing to bow the knee and accept the Bible’s way to get there. The truth is the Bible tells us everything that is necessary to know about Heaven, and anything unsaid, quite frankly, is unnecessary. Scripture helps us to know that God will be sitting on His throne in Heaven. He is King and Lord of all. Scripture says that only those whose name is found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will enter into Heaven. (Revelation 20:15 & Revelation 21:27) And the only way found in Scripture to have your name written in this book is through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Jesus proclaimed it while on earth in the book of John chapter 14, verse 6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” So Heaven is for real. Heaven is wonderful. Heaven is accessed by those who repent of their sin and put their faith /or trust in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. I will leave you with this final quote from Scripture found in the book of John chapter 3, verse 16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.”
