Just a reminder: God is love and He loves you very much! It’s nice to hear someone say that they love you, but how much greater should it be that God loves me. There are so many people today that need to know that God truly loves them. When a life accepts God’s love in their heart, there is a new hope, a new purpose, a new drive, and a new joy to be found. God’s love does this. It is said that love is the strongest of emotions. Love is willing to be blind. Love is forgiving. Love is faithful to the end. Love is hopeful in the midst of the unknown. Love is kind, even when mistreated. Love is giving to anyone, including the selfish. Love never fails because that’s just the way love is. And we find in 1 John 4:8 that “God is love”. Christ Jesus, God’s only Son, was the ultimate display of love given to this world. We find an independent, self-sufficient God loving a failed, broken mankind who are labeled as sinners; yet God extended His love toward us to provide the gift of salvation through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. Unmerited, yet God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, Jesus. What’s impressive is that God’s love was given first.
